Meet the ARTISTS
Sylvie
Abrams
Sylvie is originally from Lyons, France, where she attended art classes for five years at Le Petit Collège. She resides in California, where she trained in digital art. She is a member of the Glendale Art Association (GAA). Her solo work was exhibited at the Hewlett-Packard offices outside of Lyons when she was still a student. It has also been featured in several collective exhibitions in her hometown and, most recently, through GAA, "Artists in Chaos”, and one of her paintings will be shown in Madrid through ExpoMetro later in June. She is passionate about wildlife and has been volunteering with exotic and wild animals for over twenty years. She paints animals, landscapes and abstracts in oil and aspires to awaken an emotional response in the viewers. Her current themes are the exploration of grief, the interconnectedness of all living entities and how to reclaim one’s true self.

Soul Garden
Where Stillness Holds the World Together

In Soul Garden, Sylvie Abrams presents an imaginary forest filled with light coming from a mysterious cave. Birds emerge from it and fly in the distance, as a symbol of hope in the midst of obstacles. This is where the soul can find solace and recharge itself.
The softness of the light contrasts with the hard shapes of rocks. Cold and warm colors oppose, yet complement each other. Even in the depth of despair, one can tap in the recess of one’s soul to find strength and hope.
Here chaos is expressed through contrast to evoke how strong emotions can transform and merge in order to reflect the beauty of life.
we can't wait to hear from you
