Franck
Alagna
Born on March 7, 1964, in Aix-en-Provence. I think I was fascinated by my encounter with my friend’s grandfather, Martin Masson. His grandfather, André Masson, used to paint in his garden in Le Tholonet. I was fascinated
and unsettled by his paintings. I was 13 years old and found this style of painting very strange. I think
he was the catalyst for my exploration of art. I studied painting at the Beaux-Arts in Aix-en-Provence for a year and a half, but I didn’t finish the program. I started painting again in 2002. I was making reproductions of the great Impressionist masters like Manet, Monet, Renoir, Cézanne, and Van Gogh, then I began creating my own paintings. I had the idea of painting with “pixels,” which allows me to transition from figurative to abstract painting. On December 16, 2022, I won the award for Best
Artist of the Year at the Superstars Awards in New York.
I have participated in several group exhibitions in France, Switzerland, and USA.

Les Voyageurs du Titanic
Drifting Between Collapse and Hope

In Les Voyageurs du Titanic, Franck Alagna evokes more than a historical tragedy. The Titanic becomes a metaphor for humanity itself: a collective journey suspended between ambition, fragility, and uncertainty. Through his poetic and introspective approach, Alagna explores the emotional traces left behind by catastrophe rather than the event itself.
The travelers are not only passengers of a ship—they are all of us, moving through unstable times, carrying dreams, fears, and invisible bonds. Friendship appears as a force of shared destiny, while resistance emerges in the simple act of continuing the voyage despite the threat of sinking.
Within Artist in Chaos, the work resonates powerfully: a reflection on collective vulnerability, but also on the strange beauty that can arise when human beings face uncertainty together. In the midst of chaos, hope remains on board.
