Artist in Chaos is a curated collective exhibition created and directed by Aby M’Baye (Aby Golden Lady B), developed during her artistic residency in New York from April 1st to July 1st, 2026.
The project unfolds through:
* physical exhibitions (openings, art shows, private visits)
* collaborations with private and institutional venues in New York
* a virtual exhibition and digital presence via website and mobile application
Artist in Chaos is an independent artistic initiative and is not affiliated with, organised by, or operated by Kunstraum. Kunstraum acts solely as a residency host space and hub for artists.
2. ACCEPTANCE OF TERMS
By applying, participating, accessing the website, or using any services related to Artist in Chaos, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service.
For participating artists:
The signature of a participation agreement is recommended. However, the absence of a signed agreement does not exempt the artist from these Terms.
Participation in the project, including submission and/or payment of the participation fee, constitutes full and automatic acceptance of these Terms of Service.
Acceptance of these Terms becomes effective upon payment and is considered fully binding once the exhibition period has begun.
Any participation, submission, or payment implies full acceptance of these Terms.
3. NATURE OF THE PROJECT
Artist in Chaos is:
* a temporary and evolving exhibition
* a curatorial and artistic experience
* a hybrid physical and digital project
The curator reserves the right to:
* select artists and artworks
* define the exhibition narrative
* modify formats, venues, and programming
4. ARTIST PARTICIPATION
Participation is open to artists working in visual arts, photography, music, poetry, and interdisciplinary practices aligned with the themes of friendship, resistance, and burnout.
Each artist may present:
* one artwork in the curated exhibition
* multiple artworks (3 to 20) in their online gallery
Participation is confirmed only after:
* submission validation
* full payment
5. SERVICES PROVIDED
Depending on the selected format (virtual or physical), services may include:
Virtual:
* online exhibition page
* artwork display
* social media promotion
* access to the artist collective
Physical:
* exhibition in the studio and/or multiple venues in New York
* access to the virtual exhibition
* curatorial support and dialogue
* printed interview feature
* inclusion in the collective artbook
Additional services (optional):
* interviews
* video content
* podcast features
6. SALES AND COMMISSIONS
Artists are free to sell their work.
Artist in Chaos does not take any commission.
Sales are handled:
* directly between artist and buyer
* or facilitated informally during events
Visitors may leave optional contributions to a collective support fund.
7. PAYMENT AND REFUND POLICY
Payments are required to secure participation and cover production and organizational costs.
Refund policy:
* A partial refund may be requested within 14 days following payment
* After 14 days, payments are non-refundable
* No refunds are possible once services have been delivered or the exhibition has started
8. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
All artworks remain the exclusive property of the artists.
Artist in Chaos retains rights over:
* curatorial concept
* exhibition format
* branding and visual identity
* digital content produced
No reproduction or commercial use is allowed without prior written consent.
9. PUBLIC AND EXPOSURE
Artists’ works may be presented to:
* collectors and art professionals
* curators and institutions
* entrepreneurs and creative communities
* international digital audiences
*Producers and Artistic Agents
*Musical and Writers Editors
Visibility opportunities may vary depending on context and engagement.
10. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
Artist in Chaos is an artistic and independent project.
We are not liable for:
* event changes or cancellations
* venue-related issues
* technical interruptions
* third-party actions
11. GOVERNING LAW
These Terms are governed by applicable international laws, including those of the United States and France, depending on the context of use.
